M2

Class M2 April Update

M2 have had a egg-cellent April! We took part in the Easter Egg-stravaganza and show cased our wonderful sheep buns, baa baa biscuits and made a very egg-citing sheep game! 

We have enjoyed a range of Easter themed activities, from matching eggs to counting chicks and sheep! We became artists and created lots of wonderful Easter crafts! 

The highlight of April was the beautiful weather we had and the fantastic pool party day! We all had a blast in the water, playing in the sand and water trays and then soaking up the sun in the ball pits. 

We hope you have a wonderful Easter break and can't wait to start our Summer Term! 

Class M2 March Update

We have had a very busy but fun March! From completing Spring activities, celebrating St Patrick's Day to making our wonderful Mother's Day plant pots. We really enjoyed making pancakes with our friends- they were delicious. Our Activity Based Learning had lots of fun things to do including Spring Maths matching flowers to their numbers, finding flowers buried in our sensory trays and learning about the Spring weather! 

We had a wonderful week celebrating World Book Day- dressing up and having fun with colours and Elmer the Elephant! We painted with elephants, made elephant collages and sorted an array of objects and materials into colours. 

M2 also had a wonderful sensory TACPAC music session with our friends celebrating St Patrick's Day, decorating buns and completing fun filled sensory experiences through our Sensology and sensory stories. We even went on a Sensory Spring Walk and we had lots of fun! 

We finished March making our Mother's Day plant pots and planting sunflower seeds of our own- we can't wait to watch them grow! 

Class M2 February Update 

'Love is in the air' and it definitely was in M2! We started February off by completing our Winter activities, including looking at Arctic Animals, journeying to the Northern Lights in our Attention Autism and being creative in Art- designing our own Arctic Animals.  We completed lots of different Activity Based Learning sessions, from feeding the hungry penguins, painting with bubble wrap and then exploring the sensory trays- we needed to find all the arctic water animals before the ice melted!

We finished February off celebrating Valentines and spreading the love all around. We had a great Valentine's Attention Autism session with M3 and loved our Sensology session- especially feeling the heart rug it was so soft! We colour matched hearts and even made a heart chain with our name. We particularly loved making our Valentines canvas using heart shaped stampers and rollers. We finished our Valentines theme off with making heart shaped sun catchers for our Valentines- we hope you liked them!

Class M2 January Update 

Happy New Year from all of us in M2! We have had a very busy January celebrating the New Year. looking at the season of Winter and participating in different cultural celebrations of Chinese New Year! 

We brought the New Year in with a bang with our Attention Autism sessions, created beautiful New Year stars in Literacy and Art and enjoyed making our own New Year Resolutions- we are sticking to them so far! As part of our Seasonal Celebrations, we have completed an array of Activity Based Learning on Winter, used our mathematical skills to count snowflakes and built our Snowmen using our names in Literacy. We got crafty with glitter, pom poms and paint and have designed some breathtaking art work. To celebrate Chinese New Year we got to see, touch and try some traditional Chinese costumes, as well as experience Chinese culture through Sensology and TacPac- we did love the smell of Chinese Five Spice! We learnt that it is the year of the snake and even had a few different snakes in our Attention Autism. In music, we banged on our drums to the beat of traditional Chinese Music and learnt to dance to it in PE. We are really looking forward to February and all it has to offer! 

Class M2 December Update 

'I wish it could be Christmas every day!' has been the mantra of Class M2 in December! We have had LOTS of fun getting into the festive spirit and enjoying all the Christmas activities. We have completed some fantastic Christmas Maths, matching shapes to our Christmas trees and making shape wreaths. We also stamped our names on Christmas tree triangles in Literacy, and put them in order to match our name. In cookery we decorated 'abominable' snowmen with Christmas themed icing- they were delicious! In our sensory topics we made snow for the snowmen, used bells and drums to make Christmas music and in Attention Autism we made salt snowflakes and splatted paint cotton pads to make a Christmas wreath.

We have really enjoyed our Activity Based Learning this month, exploring Christmas trees, the Nativity and learning all about Santa. Speaking of Santa, we had a wonderful visit to Santa's Grotto and were lucky enough to meet him- and the friendly Donkey that accompanied him! We have also completed lots of decorative, sparkly art work to include our wonderful snow globes, Nativity window catchers and our puffy paint Christmas trees! To finish the term off, we had a Christmas sensory disco with all of our friends- it was truly magical!

Class M2 November update

M2 have had a very busy November. We really enjoyed Nursery Rhyme Week and had a blast dressing up and making lots of lovely art work. We have started our topic 'materials', exploring different textures and qualities of materials such as dull/shiny, hard/soft, rough/smooth. We also really enjoyed our sensory story of The Three Little Pigs and acting out the story in our sensory tray. We have enjoyed lots of sensory exploration, art, music and dance this term. To finish November off we put up our Christmas Tree and decorated the classroom! We cannot wait for the Christmas festivities! 

Class M2 October update

Class M2 have had a lovely October, we have been very busy working on our communication, forming relationships with our peers and staff. We had great fun in our sensory music sessions, becoming mathematicians in numeracy week and preparing for Halloween. M2 got to explore the pumpkin patch and carve a spooky pumpkin, finishing off with our Halloween parade, we loved seeing all our friends dressed up. See you next month!
