J6 January 2026 Update
Happy New Year, everyone! J6 has started 2026 with great enthusiasm, diving straight into phonics, writing, reading, and number work. We’ve also been exploring topic maths, including 3D shapes, alongside our weather theme. Our Attention Autism sessions have been full of excitement with snowball fun, rainfall activities, and icy adventures. Wishing all of Donard School a happy, healthy, and joyful year ahead
J6 December 2025 Update
We’ve enjoyed a truly festive run‑up to Christmas in J6, with pupils throwing themselves into a wide range of creative arts, crafts, and seasonal activities. In our Understanding the World Around Us lessons, they’ve been exploring both the Christmas Story and the meaning of Advent. A highlight of the month was our visit to Bridge Integrated Primary School, where we had the pleasure of watching their wonderful P3 Nativity performance.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful New Year.
J6 November 2025 Update
J6 have a had a busy November. We have been learning about Diwali and Road Safety as well as celebrating Nursery Rhyme week.
We have attended the library every Friday morning of November. We really enjoyed the sessions. We have explored numeracy through a range of practical activities and continue to practice letter formation and reading skills.
J6 October 2025 Update
J6 have had a fantastic October. We have been learning all things Halloween through our Activity Based Learning, exploring Autumn in the Sensory Garden and we even enjoyed a trip out to Banbridge Library for a spooky sensory story!
J6 September 2025 Update
September has been a busy month in J6. We have been getting to know our new teacher and assistants as well as our new classmates. We are enjoying exploring our 'All About Me' topic through our activity based learning sessions.
