November 2024
We have been extremely busy finishing our Autumn topic with a fun sensory Attention Autism bucket. We also looked at different nursery rhymes in Nursery Rhyme Week. We had lots of activities for The Three Little Pigs, Incy Wincy Spider, The Big Ship Sailed, Old McDonald had a Farm and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Class M4 have also been having fun with new learning activities in the morning. The pupils have exploring different stories and rhymes and all the new activities at each table. We have looked at Peace At Last and The House that Jack Built. Everyone is enjoying the different art tasks, sensory play trays, fine motor and construction tasks alongside lots of other fun learning activities. The pupils are using different items and activities to practice their counting, fine motor and matching and sorting skills.
We are looking forward to getting ready for Christmas and putting up our class tree and decorations.
October 2024
M4 have been very busy continuing to explore different materials. We have looked at strong materials and compared rope to wool, even having a tug of war to see how strong the rope was. We loved getting outside in the Autumn sunshine and finding leaves and conkers for our Autumn harvest display in assembly. We tasted different fruits and vegetables in cookery and we all seemed to like the oranges best. art is one of our favourite activities and we made beautiful autumn tree pictures using coloured fabric leaves. Animal Numeracy Week was great fun, we matched different shapes to the correct animals.
Everyone was so excited for our school Halloween pumpkin patch visit. We made a chart of the different things we might see and had great fun trying to find them and mark them off our list. We enjoyed dressing up for our Halloween parade and party break in class. We worked hard on our Halloween literacy and numeracy tasks, we were spook-tacular!!!! We loved creating our flower filled pumpkins to take home, aren't they beautiful but a lot of hard work.
September 2024
Class M4 have really enjoyed getting back to see their friends after the summer holidays. There was great excitement when another pupil moved into our room and was warmly welcomed by everyone. The pupils have enjoyed exploring the new play park, which we had been keeping an eye on last term. We have looked at different materials as part of our topic this term in World around us, first up was reflective materials, then waterproof and then different materials that sink or float. we loved making our self portraits on the big mirror and pressed them on to big sheets of paper. Lots of busy writing practice and circuits throughout the weeks as well. Keep an eye out for more of our fun activities!!
