The sun really shone for Donard School on the day of our first ever Summer Fete.
Parents and staff worked together to make it one to remember – Let’s hope there are many more in the years to come.
The total raised at last count is 3,300 pounds – thank you all for your donations and your hard work before and during the day. Our pupils had a blast!
Thanks to all the parents who came to support our World Cup Themed Sports Day!

The pupils from Donard School want to say a huge thank you to the customers and staff of TESCO, Castlewellan Road, Banbridge.
Staff at the store in Banbridge Town started making pland for this surprise when Santa was in residence at TESCO before Christmas. The fundraising continued into 2018. The Outdoor Kitchen and Sand Box we were gifted were especially designed to meet the needs of our pupils.
Our pupils were delighted when they arrived at school on a sunny Spring morning to find an unexpected surprise … the sand tray and mud kitchen are fabulous – just what we needed!
So Thank you to Banbridge Community, Harry Smith (Store Manager), Cathy Skillen (Checkout Manager), Jason Black (NI Traditional ToyBox) and all the team at TESCO.
The photos really do say it all!

A massive thankyou to Run for Autism H.A.N.D who presented us with a cheque for £2000. The money will help to provide accessible clubs and social opportunities for our pupils after school.
What a fabulous night from start to finish!
A huge thank you to Sperrinview School, Dungannon who hosted this year’s ‘Hodown’ Formal. The pupils were treated to a lively evening of food, dance and craic. They had fun in the photo booth, munched their way through the sweetie cart and posed with the farmyard props. Certainly a night to remember!
